We threw a party - and everyone came! Our 30th Anniversary was such a success. And we’re not stopping there! We have a fantastic holiday program planned.

We want to thank all of our friends, family, alumni, and fans from across all our 30 years for coming out to support DHE for our 30th anniversary celebration concert on May 19, 2024 in Northville, Michigan. DHE would not be where we are today without your steadfast support. We saw so many familiar faces in the audience! Plus, we know there were a few folks for whom this was their first handbell concert. We love that!

If you weren’t able to attend our concert in person, please enjoy these performances of “Dancing Queen” and “Grazioso.” These two pieces showcase the breadth of DHE’s repertoire and skill.

Our concert featured a moment of recognition for our previous Artistic Directors, all of whom were in attendance.

The concert also featured a performance by an alumni ensemble of 14 ringers from all eras of DHE, and an epic reception which included historical displays and amazing food! Please visit our Facebook page to see more fun photos from our celebration.

DHE looks forward to many more years of music in the Motor City! We’ve already turned our attention to the upcoming holiday season. Our program, “The Stars are Brightly Shining,” is sure to inspire. Join us at one of our December concerts.

The Eaton Rapids Handbell Festival will be held November 16, 2024 and DHE will once again be on hand to assist with the event. The closing concert showcases the talents of DHE and local musicians. It is a privilege for the Detroit Handbell Ensemble to spread the joy of music to a variety of audiences each year! Consider being a part of the DHE community by passing along concert announcements, hosting a concert, or making a tax-deductible donation to DHE. Contributions help us buy new music, maintain our equipment, and meet all the other expenses that come with sharing quality handbell music. DHE could not do what we do without YOU, our friends and fans. Thank you for your support!
