All of us at Detroit Handbell Ensemble would like to wish you and yours a very merry holiday season!
We’d like to extend a huge “Thank you!” to everyone who supported our 2025 concerts and events. It was a very busy season which included five concerts and a local holiday celebration. We had a great season!
Spreading the Holiday Spirit in Metro Detroit

DHE again participated in Ring in the Season at the Royal Park Hotel, in Rochester, MI. This was the holiday kickoff event for The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division Red Kettle Campaign. DHE ringers officially welcomed the holiday giving season in the hotel's gorgeous and festive lobby. Visit our Facebook page for additional photos and enjoy our performance of a 12-bell arrangement of Jingle Bells.
Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up with all of our concerts and events.
Juletide: A Holiday Collage Concert

We were honored to be the featured guest artist at Juletide, a holiday collage concert presented by Central Michigan University (CMU) School of Music. Under the direction of Amon Eady, we joined the CMU Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Festival Chorus, and the CMU Chamber Orchestra in a gorgeous program that featured a variety of music, sacred and secular. The two sold-out performances were fantastic musical experiences. Thank you, Dr. Eady, for inviting us!
2025 Holiday Concert: Christmas on Stage and Screen

DHE presented two performances this season – in Livonia and Pinckney – plus a concert at Silver Maples, a senior community in Chelsea, MI. Audiences were treated to a dazzling musical celebration of the most beloved holiday music ever written for theatre and film.
Please enjoy these videos of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and visit our YouTube channel for more holiday favorites.
Happy Holidays from DHE!
Looking Ahead
We have exciting news to share! DHE will perform next summer at Handbell Musicians of America’s National Seminar in Cincinnati, OH! National Seminar is an annual event that brings together handbell performers, directors, composers, and educators from around the globe. The five-day event features classes, ringing tracks, and showcase performances by ensembles and soloists. We are honored to have been selected for one of the showcase performances, and we can't wait to share the stage with our esteemed peers. Our concert is scheduled for Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m. ET at the Sharonville Convention Center. More details coming soon!
More immediately, we will hit the ground running on our spring program in January. Full details on our spring 2026 concerts are coming soon. (Sneak peek: We think you're going to LOVE our program!) Watch our social media and sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know!
As we look ahead to the new year, 2026 is going to be an exciting time for us. We need your continued support to make all our exciting plans and travels a success. Share our concerts with your friends, family, and coworkers, and please consider making a tax-deductible donation to DHE. Contributions help us continue to make music in and around the Motor City. Thank you!
