"DHE is excited to be back ringing in the fall. It has been too long since our bells have been allowed to bring joy to others."
- Artistic Director Brenda Austin
The time for music is now! As was the case with most things, Covid-19 kept DHE’s bells silent for most of the 2020-2021 season but we are looking forward to making music together again. There is something special about ringing together and being able to share our collective passion with enthusiastic audiences that has been missing for too long.
Please enjoy this musical Christmas card from us to you. DHE brings you the joyful sounds of bells and wishes you all the best this Christmas season. We miss ringing for you and connecting with you, our friends and fans. We look forward to 2021 with hope in our hearts.
As an additional festive treat, The Raleigh Ringers featured DHE on December 16th as part of their daily holiday countdown. See our energetic performance of "Farandole (March of the Three Kings)” (arr. Kevin McChesney)" from the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
With great disappointment, we have canceled all concerts for the remainder of 2020. DHE is committed to the safety of our musicians and our audiences. We hope to resume offering learning and performance opportunities soon.
With great disappointment, we have canceled our Spring 2020 Handbell concerts. At this point, it is too early to know whether we’ll be able to reschedule a new date before the summer. Watch our website and social media for updates, including an announcement about auditions. The concert at The Centre already has been rescheduled for December 12.
